Lingerie marketing has changed a lot, in the way it is openly paraded as a fashion garment,.... and aren't the styles cute now?
I imagine this market is growing quickly as the younger consumer, who has the spare money,turns their dollar to dressing for sleepovers and for bed.
In my younger days the sexy nightie was hidden from public view and purchased for the honeymoon night. It was sold in a private end of a store, they usually only had a few "black little numbers" which were sold for honeymoons etc, and the rest were all sensible nighties.
....and no self respecting woman wore PJs.
Thank goodness this has changed!
